#5 User Satisfaction: Learn what your visitors and site users do and do not
like about your site. Using a good reporting service allows you to monitor
your pages individually to see what pages are clicked on first, the most
popular pages, duration of any given visitor’s time viewing a page (visit
duration), and what pages send your visitors off your site (exit pages).
Once
you have this valuable information, you can make your site more enticing
to your specific target audience and keep them at your site longer. You can
tailor content for enticement, better sales, offer friendlier information, etc.
When you know for sure what does not work, eliminate it. When you know
for sure what works, use it to satisfy your visitors and turn them to repeat
customers!
#4 Site Function Improvement: Track and correct any issues or defects you
detect within your site. Through good reporting you can monitor for trouble
spots page by page. This is where your visitor’s browser types, screen
resolutions and operating systems become very useful information.
Optimize your site to view beautifully for the types of equipment and
browser versions that your visitors use. Guesswork is eliminated!
#3 Marketing Effectiveness: Improve your marketing efforts and eliminate
wasted time and money. Monitoring your site statistics through a good
reporting tool set allows you to see the effectiveness of your keyword work.
This is especially a money-saver for pay-per-click advertising, but just as
important for no-cost search engine optimization (SEO) strategies. You can
see the list of search engines and Website links that send you visitors;
watch the keywords visitors are using to search for you; and see what
marketing strategies are not working for you by their lack of linking traffic to
your site.
#2 Work Your Business With Accuracy: Understand exactly what your
target user wants in your site content, determine your business marketing
needs, improve your return on investment (ROI), drive customers to your
virtual front door, enhance their experience, and promote a higher rate of
repeat customers. Web analytic tools give you the opportunity to “tune in”
to your potential prospects and customers as never before. Today’s online
tools give business owners outstanding — and instant — advantages for
management and growth, with a greater potential for direct conversion of
visits to sales than offline. These are advantages any savvy business owner
can not afford to ignore!
And the most basic and important reason …
#1 Accurately and Dynamically Track Your Traffic: Bottom line is, you have
a business Website. You need customers. To get customers, you have to
have traffic. All your efforts to capture attention will do you no good if you
can not see what works and what is a waste of time. You need to know if
you are drawing the right target market to your business. What good is
pulling in 15,000 people who are allergic to your product or can not use
your service? You know the answer! Web analytic traffic reporting lets you
focus your efforts and increase your percentage of buyers within your
visitors, and make more sales.
Whether you rely on search engine traffic, press releases, pay per click
advertising, banner ads or any other marketing strategy, with a good traffic
reporting service, and through the use of Web analytics, you will gain untold
advantages. Find new sites that can be potential business partners or
affiliations, learn what your visitors want and what will make them stick to
your site, track the impact of your promotions and sales leads, click back to
the links that come to your site and get a reverse look at your potential
customer up close. Web traffic reporting and Web analytics is a true “must
have” for today’s online businesses. Without this incredible site tool you are
only scratching the surface of your Website’s potential.

In Search of the Great Australian Novel

What was the funniest novel of the 20th century? Christopher Hitchens recently pondered that question in the course of awarding the palm to Lucky Jim. I want to ask a more modest question. What is the funniest novel of the 21st century — this brand-new, post-9/11 century that already shows so many promising signs of being even more fouled-up than the last? To anybody who has read A Dancing Bear, that vast and rowdy tale of love, post-modernity, serial murder and terrorism, the answer won’t be in any doubt. Unfortunately almost nobody has read it. To date the book has only been published online. Its author, who variously calls himself Mark Osher, David Free and Kirk Kinbote, and who — if you believe his website — may not even still be alive, is rumored to have pulled out of at least two publication deals at the eleventh hour, after the houses involved sought to make unacceptable cuts to his text. In consequence the book is little known of outside its author’s native Australia, and even within Australia it has reached only a tiny circle of readers.
What, then, is the novel about? It opens on an unnamed university campus, where the protagonist — an amiable enough young cipher named Fenton Bland — has just joined a society of student Maoists in order to get near the girl he loves. These Maoists will prove a troublesome bunch. In an effort to demonstrate that communism is not yet dead, they perpetrate, or at least try to perpetrate, an increasingly rococo series of terrorist outrages. Bland, who is at heart a law-abiding fellow with no authentic taste for radical politics (”Like fellatio and death,” we are told, “Maoism had always struck him as one of those things that happened to other people”) finds himself in an increasingly urgent quandary: he must either go on pretending to be a terrorist, running the risk that one of the Maoists’ outlandish plots might one day succeed, or he must forever wave goodbye to his slender hopes of making the girl his.
That is the book’s spinal storyline, its central moral MacGuffin. Further plots and characters cavort on the book’s periphery. There is Pamela Scratch, a former childhood acquaintance of Bland’s who has now morphed into an incredibly fiery student activist. Her current project is to lobby for the unconditional release from custody of a patently guilty thrill-killer named Neville Aggot (”Campaigning for the release of a multiple murderer … even Bakunin would look at that and say, ‘Jesus that’s left-wing!’”). Bland intensely dislikes her but is nonetheless condemned to go on having coffee with her on a bi-monthly basis in perpetuity, because he believes, although his memory is shaky on the point, that he might well have touched her, when they were playing in a sandpit at the age of five, on the pudendum.
Then there is the eminent post-structural theorist Ivan Lego, who, in keeping with his thesis that “every speech act is an act of linguistic genocide,” produces a book consisting wholly of blank pages. The work becomes a bestseller. Osher/Free/Kinbote reproduces a four-page “extract” of Lego’s book by leaving four pages of his novel blank. This is but one instance of what is, at least for this reader, one of the novel’s central mysteries. Is it an attack on post-modernism, or an exercise in it? Or is it both things at once?
Meanwhile the Maoists’ terror campaign is hotting up. Various kinds of atrocity are contemplated. A junior Maoist proposes the use of a car bomb. “I’m listening,” replies the chief Maoist, “provided you’re not referring to my Kombi.” Death lists are drawn up. The Maoists resolve to target the increasingly famous — and increasingly fatuous — Ivan Lego. The option of running him over with a motorbike ridden by a suicide bomber is canvassed, but scrapped as a logistical nightmare. (”Why bother with a bomb at all, if you’re already going to be creaming the bloke with a motorbike at top speed? You can’t kill the guy twice. And what if the bomb doesn’t go off at exactly the right instant? What do we do then? Dismount from the wreckage and just sort of run after him till the thing explodes?”)
It soon dawns on the reader that all the book’s plots are coming marvelously together. Neville Claude Aggot escapes, and attempts (with merciful lack of success) to go on a rampage of “non-consensual sex and death.” The Maoists decide, for reasons too complicated to go into here, to slay Lego in the style of a serial killer and pin the crime on the still-at-large Aggot. The scene in which Bland and the chief Maoist, packing a meat cleaver and a tomahawk respectively, attempt — with wildly differing levels of enthusiasm — to enter the theorist’s home in the dead of night is a tour de force of comic writing.
As indeed is the whole book. This novel, believe me, is not destined to remain obscure for long. It is only a matter of time before everyone will be talking about it. Check it out while it’s still a curio, a cult item, a hidden pearl in the great weedy dripping haul of the Internet.

Holistic Pet Care

Holistic Vs Traditional Vet Care
We have to understand that our bodies have more control over it’s own health than our medications in certain situations. By understanding the basic health mechanisms of our bodies, we can significantly improve our responses to illnesses and adverse factors. The same is true for our pets, and a holistic approach torwards their health might be the right choice. Holistic pet care is based on understanding the pet’s needs and problems as a whole. Holistic veterinarians will approach a pet illness from a multi faceted point of view, not just treating a single health problem in comparison to traditional pet health care systems which aim straight at one problem, almost ignoring other related factors.
Differences between a holistic veterinarian and a traditional vet
In traditional pet medicine, if your dog or cat has a sore paw, the vet will look mostly at the leg. It makes sense, you will say. It does, but this also limits the doctor’s chances of finding correlated problems that might have lead to the sore paw. A holistic pet care approach will have a look at the “whole” rather than the “individual”. This means that the holistic vet will look for other potential, inner and outside factors that might contribute negatively to the problem.
Holistic pet care - a different approach
Holistic pet care aims to bring a multitude of healing elements for a multitude of potential problems, while classical vets target a specific element, using a one on one approach. This is not to say that traditional veterinary practices are obsolete - they do work well in most cases. However, the issue here is: can they be improved? Holistic vet care tries to find hidden factors for the problem, so that it will not become a reoccurring issue looking at the whole process, from past, to present and future. While traditional medicine focuses mainly on the consequences of an illness.
Work methods of the holistic veterinarian
A holistic veterinarian will show a more open-minded approach to an affliction. He or she will try to face the problem from a multitude of different angles, not just a one on one approach. Of course, the holistic veterinarian knows, as well as the pet owner does, that the treatments will not get a 100% response from the pet. However, since the problem is faced from different perspectives, chances that treatment will be successful are a lot higher. While traditional medicine should not be disregarded, every pet owner should consider a holistic approach to pet problems in order to ensure the highest chances of success and to improve the overall life quality of their animal companions.
Holistic pet care - is vaccination necessary?
Yearly vaccinations for our pet have become a usual thing, especially since traditional veterinarians tell us that this is the best action against all sorts of pet diseases. Many holistic pet care specialists have studied the effect of vaccinations on different sorts of pets and they found out that there might be more harm involved in regular vaccination than we would think. Most vaccinations occur in the multi dose pattern - which means that our pet’s immune system receives a large dosage of the vaccine. Repeating this process year after year may increase the side effects of the vaccine on your pet’s immune system. While holistic pet care is not against vaccination, many holistic veterinarians suggest more caution when vaccinating your pet.
Vaccination of young animals
In their early life stages, pets are supposed to get increased doses of vaccine, so as to develop a stronger immune system. Holistic pet care systems know that the baby animal gets the highest part of their immune system from their mother. This also means that a natural diet will help build a proper immune system, as the mother’s milk will have all the necessary nutrients. Holistic pet care focuses on natural nutrition as a way of eliminating many of the problems that plague our pets. Chemical and unnatural food, mostly used by pet owners today, diminishes the potency of the immune system, both in baby animals and in adults. Combined with pesticide prevention drugs, vaccines will only add to the dosage of unnatural elements in your pet’s life, thus actually reducing the strength of the immune system, instead of making it stronger.
Holistic pet care - why are vaccines potentially dangerous
Although our pets’ bodies do sometimes need outside factors to help their healing, in most cases, given the proper conditions, our pets are able to self heal. Vaccination brings a series of foreign elements in the pet’s bloodstream - and, as you know, vaccines actually contain a part of the disease they are supposed to prevent. The natural process would be for the pet to come in contact with the disease, get passed it and develop it’s own immune system then. Yearly introduction of the controlled disease found in vaccinations may have a series of adverse factors.
The pet owner’s choice
By constantly receiving small doses of the “disease”, through vaccination, your pet’s immune system is under constant pressure. Although this helps it get stronger for the actual encounter with the disease, it also wears out the immune system in time. Holistic pet care also notices several forms of negative responses to the forced immunization procedures. Allergies and skin irritations are sometimes found with pets whose immune system is unbalanced by the vaccination. Although the holistic pet care approach does not encourage vaccination, you, as a pet owner, should decide which option is best for your favorite cat or dog.

Ski Clothes Shops - Useful Notes For Beginners
Saturday July 26th 2008, 10:39 pm

Ski clothes and skiing accessories today are governed by one major factor - functionality. This is state of the art ski wear in all the colours under the rainbow, influenced in the main by snowboarders who were trying to get away from the bright colours of the early nineties. They wanted to dress down in muted colours, but they also needed ski kit that was tough and flexible. Ironically, in trying to escape ‘fashion’, they recreated it, and the colours crept back in too.
So, if you are starting out what is the best advice? There are certain items that really should be bought from a ski clothes shop as they have been designed with the ski slopes in mind and need to be warm, hard wearing and wind proof. These are ski jackets (outer shell), ski trousers (or salopettes - high waisted trousers with braces), ski gloves, ski goggles and sun glasses.
As for the rest of the kit, such as a fleece (an insulating layer), thermal underwear (inner layer), thermal socks, silk inner glove liners and woolly hats, go to your nearest camping store. You’ll probably save a lot of money. If you want to save even more money on ski clothes consider hiring or borrowing items from friends, especially if you have children and this is either their, or your, first ski holiday!
Today the talk is all about the ‘three layer system’, which means comfort, freedom of movement, warmth and breathability. You should wear at least three layers consisting of an outer shell - the ski jacket in a colour of your choice with a suitable manufacturer’s logo, which you will be advertising for free. This material is usually made of the same fabric that Gortex pioneered in the eighties. It allows sweat to escape but stops moisture getting in (ie: you won’t boil over while searching for that lost ski in a snowdrift).
The middle layer, can also be a highly scientific piece of kit and can consist of an insulated jacket or fleece. You could be just as well off with a nice woolly sweater, or if you overheat easily, a normal shirt. The third layer is your underwear and I’ll leave that to you. Some people settle for a T-shirt, while others will plump for silk underwear, or a polo neck, or maybe a combination of two.
And a final word of advice - skiing does warm you up and the weather can be warm too! Dress for the cold and buy a small back pack where you can put excess ski clothing when you get too hot. This will double up as something to sit on while you have your pic-nic lunch on the edge of the trail, and may even offer shock absorption when you fall!
Simon Dewhurst has has been involved in many aspects of the ski business for 35 years, including teaching downhill and cross country skiing, club racing, speed skiing and running ski chalets in the French Alps. He has written a book “Secrets of Better Skiing”, which can be found at http://www.ski-jungle.com
Skateboard Decks

The deck is an important component of a skateboard. Simply put, the deck is a piece of wood or a wooden board the rider stands on. A skateboard comprises four wheels attached to two axles. The axles are known as trucks, and are mounted to the bottom of a wooden board called a deck. Usually, the decks are about 79 cm long and 20 cm wide. They are made of seven layers of Canadian maple veneer, which are pressed and glued together.
Skateboard makers alternate the direction of the wood grain of each layer so that the deck does not split along the natural grain lines of the wood. Metallic decks or decks made of composite materials are rather rare. For downhill riding and street riding you should use longer skateboards, while the shorter ones are more suitable for tricks and maneuvers.
A main feature of a deck is that it rises at both ends. The one in the front is called the nose, while the rear one known as the tail. To perform tricks and stunts, skateboarders use the leverage from the kicked ends. The deck usually has abrasive grip tape on top, providing traction that prevents the rider from slipping off.
For a rider, it is very important that he gets the right deck size while choosing the board. It should neither be too small nor too big. In case the deck is too small, you will find it tough to maintain balance, as your feet and heels will hang over the edge. Again, if it is too big, you will face difficulties in turning and lifting off the ground while trying tricks. If the deck is more concave, the skateboarder can display his/her tricks more aggressively.
There are many patterns and designs you can get on your deck. So choose a deck you find beautiful, and if you want to give it a personal touch add some stickers on it.

Fha Mortgage Loans - The Benefits Of An FHA Mortgage
Tuesday July 22nd 2008, 5:07 pm
Filed under:
Biz Ops
The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) insures mortgages to allow low to moderate income families to purchase their own home. With government backing, families can buy a home at a lower initial cost. However, there are limitations with this program.
Mortgage Insurance - Section 203(b)
The FHA provides mortgage insurance, not mortgage loans to families. However, this program can reduce the cost of a home loan by thousands of dollars. The program also encourages lenders to finance mortgages for people who might just miss the underwriting requirements. For example, FHA loans require a smaller down payment.
With FHA’s Section 203(b) program, a homebuyer can purchase a new or used one to four family home. However, the buyer has to live in the home.
FHA Benefits
A FHA mortgage allows some borrowers to qualify for the lower interest rates of a conventional loan, rather than using a higher rate sub-prime mortgage. This can save thousands in interest charges.
Required down payments are also smaller. Instead of the typical 10% down, a buyer can put down as little as 3%. The closing costs can also be financed with the mortgage, lowering the initial costs of purchasing a home.
The FHA also limits fees that can be charged to the borrower. For example, the loan origination fee cannot surpass 1% of the mortgage amount.
Drawbacks
FHA loans do have their drawbacks and are not for everyone. For instance, the FHA sets loan limits to ensure the program serves low to moderate income families. You may find with these loan caps that you will need to apply for a conventional or jumbo loan to purchase your home.
You also have to use the house as your primary residence. If you are looking to invest in property or buy a vacation home, then you will need to look at other financing sources.
Applying For FHA Mortgage
FHA insured mortgages are provided through approved financial institution. Fortunately, many of today’s lenders are approved. Just like with any type of loan, you should compare rates of different lending companies. An FHA approved institution doesn’t necessarily mean they offer the lowest rates.
You can easily find rates and terms online by searching individual sites or using a mortgage broker site. By collecting quotes, you can research rates without hurting your credit score.

Important Information About Contact Lenses

Biz Ops
Contacts are a great way to improve your vision with out having to sacrifice your look. There are also many different style and comfort options for contact wearer’s so that there is just about something for everyone. Early designs of contact lenses offered only one hard glass option that had to be taken out every night and cleaned. They were expensive and could warp over time. Disposable contacts were made of a soft plastic and still needed to be taken out every night, but they were only to be used for two weeks at a time. This kept a fresh pair of contacts in your eye that provided much more comfort. Along with comfort, color options appeared that could change the appearance of your iris. This was done by making a speckled ring of color on the contact around where the pupil is. This was more ideal for people with lighter colored eyes, because brown eyes are too dark.
The newest style of contact lenses are the most comfortable to date. They are porous so that the eye is not totally sealed off from oxygen. Some of these lenses are designed to be worn 24 hours a day. Keeping the lenses in all the time does require a different type of eye drop that will aid in cleaning them since they will not be removed at night to sit in a cleaning solution.
There are some alternatives to contact lenses, but most people are still wary of them because they require some form of surgery. Radio keratotomy is a procedure where slits are made across the lense inside of the eyeball. These slits alter the shape of the lense changing its magnification. This is a safe procedure because it can be reversed if the results are not acceptable. There is also a procedure where a lense is inserted into the surface of the eyeball. It acts like a permanent contact lense. This is also very safe because it does not affect the cornea, and the lense can be removed. Lasik surgery is a popular alternative because it does promise an easy laser surgery that can be done with instant results. However, you may have complications that are irreversible because the laser permanently alters the cornea.
Get Rich Scams Exposed!

Read This special article before you spend another nickel on any “Get rich” program or newsletter pay service!!!
Wouldn’t it be nice to make a bundle of money quickly, with very little effort, working on your computer at home? YOU KNOW IT WOULD BE!!! I know for me I also would love to have money constantly going into my bank account day after day while working only a few hours each week, This way I could have more quality time to enjoy my wife and kids, without my nasty boss always pushing me and having to deal with that horrible daily commute and those difficult co workers!!
Whether it’s real estate investing, using classified ads, investing in the stock market or internet affiliate marketing programs, or other online types of businesses, All of us are constantly bombarded by the fantastic claims of people selling “get rich” programs that they are selling in which they CLAIM people are making tons of money, AND how they can show you how to do do the same thing FOR A PRICE!
I can tell you right now , with great certainty that 99% of these folks and programs are total scams! You like me may have even been duped into believing and buying one or even more of these “get rich now ” products .I have bought way too many of these products that I have forgotten how many!! (100′S at least!) What it waste of time and hard earned money! I don’t know why, but I guess it has to do with the fact that I believe that most people are basically “good”, and as a result I was “sold” by these hyped up marketing schemes again and again, even after being scammed by yet another ! Ouch that hurt!
Finally after being consistently let down and scammed again, I just got FED UP and PISSED!! I then decided to finally get to the bottom of this fascination we all have with these “GET RICH” products programs and services, and to find out if there really were any REAL and most importantly CONSISTENTLY PROFITABLE programs for making money on the internet!
I have actually contacted the people behind every “get rich” website I could find in my extensive research. I posed as an investor and managed to persuade the owners that I was someone intent on buying their website business. This way, once the big dollars were being dangled in front of them, they would give me free access to their members areas to review the websites and products I would be buying!, Well as I mentioned before I was completely repulsed and disgusted by 99% of what I found! (no big surprise after the 200th website I investigated!) You know what ? Most of the owners (91%) boosted about how many people bought their bogus programs! Here is what I continually found time and again:
* Links in their products that did NOT work!
* links to their other websites asking for MORE MONEY!
* No help for customers after buying their Program!
* No email support after purchase, no email at ALL!
I realized that these so called “GET RICH” products and websites were completely misleading SCAMS and worthless. And you know what? The owners totally knew it! But they told me they were very happy and gleeful on their way to the bank! (laughing all the way!!!) Surmise to say I failed to reply when I was contacted about purchasing their websites and products! Interestingly while doing all this extensive research on all these bogus websites and rip off programs and Get Rich Scams, I did find a few reputable business men that sold PROFITABLE programs that actually do make money for their customers.
I found that the business owners were just every day people similar to you and me that had found strategies that worked to make money online regularly and consistently. I thoroughly checked out their programs and websites and I was very impressed with the wealth of current and practical strategies and information that they provide. Their products really work! Their programs and websites on making a living on the internet are making people a $100 to $300 per day using their computer at home and doing very little work. I did some further research on their programs on various online forums to see if what I was told was true, and you know what? People were very pleased and highly recommended these products, They told me they were making good money REGULARLY! It was wonderful to find out that after all my research I actually had some real products that I could in good conscience recommend to people who want the freedom that a real online business can provide. Please don’t just believe me check out the links below and see for yourself! you will be glad you did!
SO my search for real PROFITABLE “GET RICH” programs has come to an end, finally!, I must say that I was so disgusted and angry with 99% of what I found that I highly and completely encourage you not to waste your time and your hard earned money joining any program other than the six I have listed below! I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do, and hope the financial freedom you seek for you and your family comes to you SOON!
Wishing you all the best,
Sincerely,
