Yoko Ono was emotional when she heard Lady Gaga’s rendition of one of her late husband’s songs.
The Poker Face singer performed John Lennon’s Imagine at a gay rights march in Washington.
And the late star’s widow even took to Twitter to praise her.
‘Dear @ladygaga Thank you for singing IMAGINE,’ the 76-year-old wrote. ‘Hearing that made me choke up.
‘You are so beautiful! In Sisterhood and love, Yoko.’
Madonna has also said she likes emerging pop diva Lady GaGa because she has the ‘it factor’ despite her fledgling skills, reported entertainment media on Friday.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Madonna said: ‘When I saw her, she didn’t have a lot of money for her production.
‘She had holes in her fishnets, and there were mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that ‘IT Factor’. It’s nice to see that at a raw stage.’
‘I see myself in Lady GaGa,’ Madonna added.
American pop singers Beyoncé and Lady Gaga have united for American director Hype Williams’ music video to “Video Phone,” according to MTV News. The eighth single from Beyoncé’s 2008 double album I Am…Sasha Fierce, “Video Phone” hits stores November 10, and its video was recently filmed by Williams in Brooklyn, New York. Though the original version of “Video Phone” does not feature Lady Gaga, the video version features the two pop stars trading verses with one another in a remix of the song.

Kasabian’s Tom Meighan and Chris Edwards have said they think the band are the natural successors to Oasis’ musical throne.
Meighan admitted that he was sad that the Gallagher brothers have gone their separate ways, saying: “I’ve heard Liam is going to carry it on without Noel but to me it’s over.” Edwards, meanwhile, said Kasabian are keen to take over from their heroes. “Festivals, stadiums and arenas will need filling and we are ready to be that band,” he commented.
The Leicester lords reckon the fiery Italian coach’s new strict regime has given the national side their best chance of success at next year’s World Cup.
Frontman TOM MEIGHAN said: “We’ve been s*** for ten years so it’s great to see the side finally playing well.
“It’s the best we’ve looked in years. We look sharp and look like they care now.
Bandmate CHRIS EDWARDS said: “I love Capello’s no-nonsense attitude. He’s gone in there, said his thing and sorted it all out.
“It gives us a chance.”
Tom added Capello was right to ban the WAGS from travelling to South Africa.
He said: “It’s absolutely f****** right to ban them.
“Who needs them going shopping and s***?
“They are bad news for the game.
“They have nothing to do with it whatsoever. Nothing.

Michael Jackson died coping with the strain of having to do 50 shows at London’s O2 Arena, claims pal David Gest - ahead of his show in Sheffield.
The Thriller superstar suffered a cardiac arrest but the cause of his death has to be confirmed. Michael Jackson Thriller was one of the biggest selling albums of all time.
A police investigation is looking at painkillers the 50-year-old was allegedly given between intense rehearsals.
Gest, aged 56, bringing his own musical life story to Sheffield City Hall on October 4, said: “I spoke to Michael two weeks before he died. He wasn’t happy doing 50 concerts.
“He was originally told 10. Then he found out he was doing 50 - some with just a day off.
“It comes down to the same thing. He was taking drugs and everything to get through each day.
“So it was the strain of these shows.”
Gest regrets his own plastic surgery and revealed he told Jackson to stop, but the Billie Jean star was insecure and wanted to look better.
He said: “It was so stupid. I don’t think Michael and I realised what we were getting into.
“We had two nose jobs. I had a chin implant and a facelift or two. We had the same surgeon. And it was ridiculous.
“I stopped in 1981 and when Michael wanted to do more I told him to stop.”
Gest vows to show the world the real Michael Jackson in an upcoming hour-long TV special, including an interview he did.
Music in the Classroom
In seventh grade I had a teacher who played music in his classroom. In all of my years of school I have never had this happen in any other class, just this one. He was an interesting teacher who was very up on the times and loved rock and roll music. There was this rule in the classroom that if everyone behaved and did all of their homework that on Friday afternoon we could listen to music. It was a reward for us for good behavior. The deal was that whoever had the highest grade on the last test got to pick out the music from his collection, and he only had rock and roll music to choose from. The reason that he was able to do this was because our classroom was separate from all of the other classrooms and whatever noise was made in our classroom would not affect any other classes going on. I remember being able to pick the music out once, and I went straight for the Van Halen. It was a Friday afternoon of my favorite rock and roll music. While all of the other kids were in their classrooms studying, we were rocking out and having a blast. This helped me associate fun with school and I greatly appreciate this teaching system that was set up, it really impacted me later in school. Now that I am much older, I will crank up the toons while at the gym after taking the Acceletrim weight loss solution. My mind will bring me back to that fun afternoon in school and a smile comes to my face and my energy level rises.
